Quilting - almost

I'm creating a t-shirt quilt (thanks honey for donating those t-shirts!).

T-shirts are cut, ironed, & fused.

Now - what fabric should I use to 'frame' each t-shirt?

I have seen these quilts on tv shows and I think they are so cool! I like all the shirts you have put together for it!

Love t-shirt quilts! Can't wait to see what framing fabric you'll use.

Something red, black, white, and Asian influenced?

Or maybe pull that bright blue out....

Yes the blue would be nice! That's going to be one soft, snuggly quilt when you are done! :)

I tagged you, Beth! I know you were already tagged, but I don't know very many people with blogs, so I had to tag you again. Go to www.educationalanarchist.blogspot.com for details.

Great idea! I don't know what border fabric to use but can't wait to see it done. Maybe a red, white or black patterned fabric.

I'm impressed - quilting is something I've never learned and am honestly a bit afraid to try. Your t-shirt quilt is looking really good!

I like your quilt, especially how you have enough of the black shirts for a checkerboard effect. As with the other comments, I think a black/white print for the background, and maybe consider a red shadow. I've got pics of the shadow effect in my November/December postings if you want to see how that looks.

Whatever fabric you choose, I'm sure it's going to turn out great!

Yeah, I'd go with red too... like Rachel said. I think it would tie it all in nicely and add some pop. Very cute!

That looks like a good use of t-shirts!

I'm going to make one of these someday...it's going to be called a "travel quilt". Everytime we go on vacation somewhere we get a T-shirt, who doesn't right? So after I've worn and am tired of it, I cut for the quilt and put it away. I guess I should start piecing them together - or the thing might end up HUGE! haha -

Have fun! Looks like a good quilt!

You've been tagged!
Here is the instructions:
1. Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.
2. Go to the 6th Folder, then pick the 6th picture in that folder.
3. Post that picture on your blog and the story that goes along with the picture.
4. Tag 6 other people that you know or don’t know to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog or an e-mail letting them know you chose them.
