Ten Days?

Really? I haven't posted in 10 days. Ouch. Been busy up here. Ice, snow, sleet (well - sleet tomorrow) and I just started homeschooling my oldest so, my life has been taken over by homeschooling and crazy weather for the moment. Will post some photos - as soon as I find my camera - of items made / shipped / sending out. Until then - if you got some of this snow that seemed to make it's way across the U.S. - go make a snowman! Or - here - we'll be making a snow turtle as requested by my eldest.

The Netherlands

I won one of the giveaways on Giveaway day. It was some ribbon and an ornament (which my one daughter claimed for herself and immediately hung it on the tree) from Muriel! The best thing about her post for giveaway day was - she had an ABBA video on it. Gimme, Gimme, Gimme a man after midnight. My girls LOVED it. The little one was just singing the song this morning at breakfast. Ah - what they must think of me over at her preschool when she struts in singing that song wearing her lime green hat.

Anyway - this is my favorite song / video.

Muriel - thank you so much for sharing with me your ribbon as well as ABBA! Beth

First Snow!

We received our first snowfall today. Well, more of a dusting but snow is snow round here. As soon as the girls spied the frozen precipitation outside they hugged each other and chanted snow! snow! snow! snow!

They asked if they could go out to play in it after they ate breakfast. Who could say no to children that ask to eat breakfast before they play?

After posing for 'pretty' pictures the girls asked if they could be silly. Again, how can I say no when they ask nicely? I really think the above photo should be our Christmas card.

Actually, at this rate, I'll be sending out Chinese New Year cards. I'm a little slow with cards this year.

Hope everyone had a happy day! Beth

Giveaway

Greetings!

My giveaway is for an apron. This was made using the Lorelei pattern from the A is for Apron book as inspiration.

Best of luck! I'll pick a winner on the 4th of December and ship it out shortly thereafter. Make sure, if your id doesn't link back to a blog or e-mail, that you leave your e-mail so I can let you know you have won.

Have fun visiting all the blogs participating in Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day 2008 - Beth

edited to add - SMS asks that we leave the giveaways up a little longer than one day - since there are so many - sooo - I will take entries until Friday, December 5 12 noon Boston, Massachusetts time. I'll pick a winner shortly thereafter & hopefully mail out the winning apron (or aprons - with so many entries I might need to whip up a second apron to giveaway) on Saturday.
